Barakah NPP 2/2

Construction of the plant commenced in 2012.

The first reactor became operational in 2021 - and the second one in 2022. The third reactor is expected to start operations in 2022 as well.

Once complete, the plant will supply up to 25% of the UAE’s electricity needs.
