Cranes at Newington Armory

Newington Armory is a former Royal Australian Navy armament depot, now a a cultural and touristic destination in New South Wales, Australia.
The Newington Armory was first established around 1,895.
When World War 2 started the armory was greatly expanded by acquiring property from the Carnarvon Golf Course and the New South Wales Brickyards. Later, when operations started in the Pacific theatre, a US Navy Armament Depot was established there.
Newington Armory was closed in 1,999 as part of the preparations for the 2000 Olympic Games.
