Knaresborough Viaduct, England
Viaduct over the River Nidd near Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England - about 75 miles (120 Km) from Manchester.
Construction started in 1,848 but the structure collapsed the same year before it was finished. Remains were demolished and the viaduct was rebuilt and finally opened in 1,851.
It is now a tourist attraction in the area, along the Knaresborough castle. There is a nice walk alongside the river, with some interesting pubs to stop at. The reflection of the viaduct on the river adds a double beauty to the scene.
